Building and Uniting Watershed Communities

Professional Development

Our training opportunities for watershed groups also benefits conservation district employees and water quality district staff.

Training topics are typically selected from the results of online surveys. A formal Training Strategy is being crafted in 2011-2012 that will help guide future decision making. MWCC wants to ensure that watershed groups and conservation districts are receiving the information and skills necessary to make a positive difference on the ground in their communities – and that information is relevant and effective for first year coordinators, as well as seasoned coordinators with more than 1o years of experience.

Providing needed services at a reasonable cost for coordinators to learn new skills, access experts, network, and share success stories from each other and from neighboring states in the West is critical to increasing the capacity of a largely volunteer work force and ensuring successful ventures across the landscape.

Grants and donations are critical in ensuring MWCC can meet the needs of its constituents. Thank you to all of our supporters!
