Building and Uniting Watershed Communities

Services

Rapid changes in the state continue to place pressure on local groups to solve increasingly more complex local natural resource problems that have social and economic dimensions. Most watershed work can be measured over years, not months, and the work is often quite isolated, so connection and exposure to other perspectives helps strengthen local efforts.

By continuing to provide opportunities for recognition, professional training, networking, and access to volunteers and experts, MWCC can strengthen the ability of watershed groups to sustain funding, recruit and retain leadership for local and statewide efforts, and implement professional and enduring programs with their local constituents that improve the health of critical watershed resources across the landscape.
