Montana Watershed Coordination Council

Supporting Healthy and Productive Watersheds

About

MWCC has been cultivating broad-based support for community-driven approaches to managing complex land and water issues for over 20 years. We are the statewide organization supporting more than 60 local watershed conservation organizations.

Vision: A Montana where watersheds and communities are healthy, productive, and thriving

Mission: Unite and support Montana’s community-based conservation networks to promote healthy and productive watersheds

Highlights

Support MWCC and other wonderful nonprofits around the state by participating in Montana Shares’ 30th Annual Raffle. Check out the great prizes, each worth hundreds of dollars! NEW this year, purchase your tickets online with a few clicks.
Each biennium, MWCC works with local conservation partners to host a Fall Watershed Tour where participants gather, share, and learn. This year, we are partnering with the Sun River Watershed Group as they celebrate 30 years of restoring and protecting the Sun River watershed and its communities. We will travel from Great Falls toward the headwaters in the Bob Marshall Wilderness for three days of learning, peer exchanges, local storytelling, and on-the-ground project experiences that demonstrate the unique resources challenges and diverse conservation and partnership strategies implemented by local organizers across the region. With an anticipated audience of 80 attendees from across Montana, the event will allow opportunities for participants to connect and learn from practitioners, coordinators, and technical experts.
In our newest newsletter, MWCC has you covered with a large and growing set of fundraising resources; including fundraising tips, out-of-the-box grant opportunities, and updates on the MWCC Watershed Fund. Not to mention updates on the overhaul of the Montana Conservation Menu website in partnership with the Montana Association of Conservation Districts. Sign up for the CFE and other MWCC newsletters so you don’t miss out!
