Projects Directory

Montana Watershed Coordination CouncilThe Web Catalog of Watershed Projects is a listing of publicly-funded Montana projects that were designed to prevent or mitigate nonpoint source pollution, or to restore waterbodies.

The backbone of the catalog is a database of summary information on more than 500 unique projects that have been initiated since the early 1990s. Three programs funded most of these projects: the 319 Non-Point Source program (Federal funds administered by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality), the Future Fisheries program of the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, and the Environmental Quality Incentives program of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.

This site was an outgrowth of a Montana Watershed Coordination Council 's scoping session through the Linking Work Group. Its development and updating are made possible through Montana 319 Non-Point Source grants to the Montana Water Center.
