This year’s River Symposium is special in so many ways:
1.) It’s our 25th anniversary so we will be celebrating all those who have worked towards healthy and resilient rivers over that time.
2.) We are recognizing the fundamental connections between rivers and communities and the twin crises of our time – Climate and Biodiversity.
3.) The main event will be held in Vienna with our partners IAWD so you can experience the picturesque Danube River, Christmas markets and stunning architecture of the city as well as its beautiful river surrounds.
4.) We will continue to bring our global community together by:
Running local events that feed into IRS 2022 in Vienna
Operating online so that other time zones can join us in Vienna
Hosting local events in other places in the hours that those in Vienna are asleep
