Definitions
- Forum– An online platform where users can ask questions and communicate with one another. Consists of multiple discussion Topics where users can create and contribute to Threads.
- Topic– Discussion themes within the Forum.
- Thread– Questions or statements that begin a conversation under a specific Topic.
Registration Requirements
Posting to the Forum is open to anyone affiliated with an organization engaged in local, collaborative conservation work in Montana’s watersheds. Individual members of the public may not post to the forum. To receive a registration code, please submit your request via the form at the bottom of the main MWCC Coordinators’ Forum page. If you are having problems with the Forum, email info@mtwatersheds.org.
Setting Up Your Profile
Guidelines on Usernames and Signatures
Username:Firstname-groupacronym
- Ex: Kierra-MWCC
Signature: name (pronouns)/title/group/email
- Ex: Kierra Davis (she/her)
- Outreach and Communication Coordinator

Options and Settings
Once signed in, click on “User CP” (*1) and then “Edit Options”(*2) [*refer to screenshot below]
Edit your settings. We suggest selecting the settings below:
How To Post
- How to create a new Thread
- Click on the relevant Forum Topic
- Click on “Post Thread”
- We recommend that you select “Subscribe and receive email notification of new replies” under Thread Subscription
- Click on “Post Thread”
- Click on the relevant Forum Topic
- How to respond to a Thread
- Click on the Forum topic
- Select the Thread you wish to respond to
- There are two ways to respond
- “New Reply” button gives you all the options including attachments and links
- “Quick Reply” box at the bottom of the page is for text only responses

- Attachments are limited to 10 MB.
Get Email Notifications
- Click on the relevant Forum Topic
- Click on “Subscribe to this forum,” circled in red in the image below
- Click on the relevant thread
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on “Subscribe to this thread,” circled in red in the image below.
