BSWC member Daniel Holder expanded the watershed group’s work to replace invasive reed canarygrass (RCG) with native trees and shrubs. Previously this effort has focused on the Bull River Drainage, but Daniel worked with a landowner along Beaver Creek, a tributary of the Lower Clark Fork River. Daniel, the landowner, and a Montana Conservation Corps crew planted 100 trees along 3,500 feet of Beaver Creek. This included removal of RCG and browse protection for each tree.
