Your investment in our work allows us to provide critical programs and services to Montana’s watershed partners, such as:

  • Funding – The MWCC Watershed Fund provides financial support to conservation organizations across Montana for project implementation, capacity-building, and professional development. Since 2018, MWCC has partnered with funders to provide more than $1.4 million in grants to 74 organizations.
  • Training & Networking – MWCC’s events (Watershed Symposium, Annual Meeting, Fall Watershed Tour, and Capacity-Building Workshops) connect watershed organizations, landowners, agencies, non-profits, and funders to create opportunities to learn, network, and build partnerships
  • Resources & Information – MWCC’s Watershed News and Conservation Fundraising Exchange Newsletters contain the most up-to-date information about funding, careers, events, trainings, and conservation news. Our online resources connect organizations to technical expertise and capacity-building information.
  • Outreach & Promotion – MWCC acts as a collective voice for watershed conservation partners, promoting their successes, stories, and accomplishments to communicate the importance of locally led watershed initiatives.
  • Building Partnerships – MWCC coordinates with public agencies, NGOs, collaborative groups, and private interests at federal, state, and local levels to leverage partnerships that improve watershed conservation outcomes.

Become part of MWCC’s NEW 406 Water Crew!

We aren’t at 406 members yet, so we’ll keep going! Joining at just $5 a month is one of the most impactful ways to convene and connect Montana’s community of water conservation practitioners from around the state. By joining the Crew, you will be contributing directly to Montana Watershed Fund initiatives, like professional development funding that provides stipends for travel, food, lodging, and registration for trainings and conferences.
“As a small nonprofit with limited funds, attending the Montana Annual Water Resources Association Conference is not an opportunity I would have had without a professional development award. Attending this conference helped me make connections that have helped me grow the Sun River Watershed Group and provide better benefits to our community.” -Tracy Wendt, Sun River Watershed Group Executive Director
