The Montana Invasive Species Council (MISC) will hold its next meeting Wednesday, March 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Montana State Capitol room 472. A virtual option will also be available.
The meeting will commence with a welcome from Chair Bryce Christiaens and orientation for MISC members and agency representatives. Updates will be provided on the Aquatic Invasive Species grant program and forest pests science advisory panel. MISC will discuss and act on attending the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region 2022 annual conference and the development of an invasive species informational document. MISC will hear presentations on projects funded through the AIS Grant Program. Representatives from the Flathead Lake Biological Station will provide information on their Dreissenid mussel early detection sampling and eDNA grants. MISC is a statewide partnership working to protect Montana’s economy, natural resources, and public health through a coordinated approach to combat invasive species.
